Idea One.
My first idea for the villain is to have him wearing a straight jacket with white trousers, but they would be muddy to show that he has been in the wilderness hiding for a while. This would show to the audience that he is a mental patient and would scare the audience more if he we to be in a straight jacket. I wanted to have him in a straight jacket because he is a mental patient but our only concern would be that we would have to take into consideration how he would have escaped from the asylum with a straight jacket on, or how would he have made it loose so that he could move his arms.Idea Two.
Another idea is that I could have our villain dressed in a doctors outfit. He could be dressed in a doctors outfit to show that he is clever because in order to escape, he would need to look like someone other then a patient and so he stole a doctors outfit to escape and so that no body would know it was him. The only down side to this outfit is it wouldn't be very effective to the audience because it isn't that scary.
Idea Three.
Another outfit design that I am going to use it a suit with a top hat. This would make the audience not
realise that he is the villain until they see the knife. This will create tension because he looks like a normal person, which is why the victims don't realise it is him. It would also making him seem to have a bit of class, when really he doesn't. I could have him messy or tidy because both would look good. A messy suit would look like he has been running and got hot and would make him look a bit more scary and like he has been escaped, where as having the suit all done up and him looking tidy, would make him look more like a normal person, scaring the audience more and making him look creepier.
The top hat would fit in with the time period that my horror opening is set in. It will also mean that I could lower his hat, or make him lower his head, so that some of his identity wouldn't be seen and making him look scarier to the audience.
Idea Four.
It is a plain white doctors mask. I could use this because it will hide the majority of the identity and the audience cannot see his mouth and what he is doing with it. It also looks eerie for the audience because you cannot see the villains whole face and not every normal day person walks around with a doctors mask. This is the planning I did on paper for my ideas and prices for the costume for the villain.
