Evaluation of 'The Devil Inside' Recreation.
Evaluation of 'The Devil Inside' Recreation.
During this task, I learnt a lot about how to create and edit a horror scene. It added to my research of horror in general as well because I developed my knowledge of what camera angles were effective and would give the best result to makethe scene look realistic.
I learnt how to shoot different camera angles during this task because before hand I hadn't had much practise at various shots that are used in movies. This will help me during my opening for a horror movie because I now have experience at using camera angles, such as close ups, birds eye views, side close ups, zooming while following an object or someone and a two shot.
I learnt a lot about editing too because we had to as a group edit the scene that we had recreated as well as cut clips that we did not need, whether it be because they are too long or a certain clip didn't give the right message to the audience. This will help me during the course because I have more of an idea of how to edit clips and to make them look like the clips we had shot all flowed one after the other smoothly.
I learnt how to make a scene from a horror movie look convincing, by using the right edits and by making sure that the actors/actresses could do a good job of acting what the characters in the scene were doing. This will help in the final task because I will know how to make sure that the actors/atresses are doing a good job as well as making sure that the final scene looks like a horror movie rather then a comedy or another genre.
I learnt how to work effectively in a group situation because we had to all put in our own thoughts to make the scene look good and although we had some disagreements as to what edits we should do, we quickly resolved them so we used our time wisely. Working in a group well will be a big part of our final task, so now that I know how to work effectively in a group, it will help me in the final task as I am going to be working with other people.
