Final Costumes

                                    Final Costumes

Nick's Final Costume

Nick's outfit turned out really good because it was just as I wanted it to be. It was dark coloured, which was really good because it gave the effect that he was a villain or evil. I liked the fact that he had a top hat on because it hid some of his identity when his head was down and it fit in with the time that my opening was supposed to be set in. His whole outfit made his character look creepy and scary, which is what I wanted his costume to create for the audience.

Jodie's Final Costume

Jodie's costume worked well and I liked having the coat which she could remove because it then because an object that Nick's character could pick up and it then meant that Nick's character could have an instant connection with Jodie's character. I liked how her dress was light and dark because it represented her being innocent and also having a darker side to her too because she uses men, hence the reason that Nick's character is trying to kill her.

Behind the Scenes of Filming for my Horror Opening

Behind the Scenes of Filming for my Horror Opening

Putting Nick's Make-up On

I got Jodie to film and video the process of me putting Nick's make-up on. She didn't take any pictures though, so I took a screenshot during the video so that there was a picture as well.

This was a snapshot that I took off of the video to show how I applied it in a freeze-frame, rather then it all being on the video.

This is the video of me putting the make-up on Nick before we started to film. I have speed up the video so that it isn't as long and so that there is no speaking because some of the speaking has nothing to do with what we are actually doing. However I will also upload and put below this video of the video with speaking and slowed down.

Pictures

While filming Jodie I got Nick to take pictures and videos of the process on my ipod. These are the pictures that aren't blurry because some of them are so blurry that you can't see what's in it or what is happening.

This is a photo that also shows the setting that I chose for the end of the opening. It also shows a bit of what Jodie's costumes look like. In the opening I  made sure that the majority of the graffiti wasn't seen.

These are two photos of me filming Jodie in the very last clip of my horror opening. It shows how the camera was positioned and where we were when I filmed. It also shows Jodie's costume from a front and side angle.

Video of Filming Jodie

This video is only short and it shows me filming Jodie when she screamed right at the end. We only had to do this once because she did it really well and it also came through on the camera really well.

Videos and Pictures of Filming Nick

Pictures of Filming Nick In The Forest

These are two photos of me setting up the camera in the right place and it also shows the setting of where part of my opening is being filmed. It shows how high I had to have the camera stand and how the camera was positioned.

These two photos show Nick's costume that he was wearing. It shows that he had brought his documents I gave him, which benefited all of us because it therefore gave us a clearer idea of what we were doing.

Videos of Filming Nick In The Forest

These two videos show my process of filming Nick. These clips are for the middle of my horror opening and it is where I first introduce Nick's character. This filming went well because I only had to do them twice, due to Nick getting confused as to what he was doing.

Pictures of Filming Nick in the Tunnel

Jodie took these photos as I filmed Jodie and again these are the photos that aren't blurry so that everything in the photo is seen.

These photos show how high the camera had to be to film for Nick and it also shows a close up of what Nick is wearing as well as his facial expression that he had to pull while I was filming.

Videos of Filming Nick in the Tunnel

The majority of these films are very short but they all show the process that I had to take to film Nick. It shows Nick's costume in more detail and it shows the location as well as what he is going to be doing part of the opening.

Organisation For The Day I Was Filming

Organisation For The Day I Was Filming

This is the post that I put in the Facebook group to remind everyone that they were both expected to be at the filming the next day. I also added in the section about the kitchen knife, however, I found out afterwards while filming that it looked just as good without a knife as it would with a knife, so therefore that slight slight change to my idea didn't matter as much as I thought it would.

This is the text conversation that I had with Jodie on the day of the filming. It was very helpful to text Jodie because we had decided that I would meet Nick outside school and then we would walk up to Jodie's to collect her. This meant that we could keep in contact with her while we were walking and so that she could see where we were, so I could make sure that she was ready to go and film as soon as we got to her house. It also meant that I could remind her in the morning that she had to be ready on time to film that day, so I knew that she would be organised by the time Nick and I got to her house.

This is the inbox conversation on Facebook that I had with Nick on the day of the filming. It was great that Nick had in-boxed me to tell me when he was on his way because it meant that I knew when he was going to turn up and therefore I could let Jodie know that I would be on my way with Nick to her house soon.

Final Make-up Designs for my Actor and Actress

Final Make-up Designs for my Actor and Actress

Jodie Coote's

This was Jodie's final make-up design that I have used for my opening of my horror movie. I got Jodie to apply her own make-up as I feel that she would do a better job on her own face then I would have done. I really liked my final make-up design on Jodie and I felt that it looked like what I wanted it to look like. It made her look like she had been crying, which is what I wanted and I felt that it was bold enough to show up on camera, which is another thing I wanted to achieve with this make-up look.

Nick Brewer's

This is the final make-up look for Nick. I felt that it looked like what I wanted the make-up design to look like and that it made him look more like the character that I wanted him to play. I did this look for Nick by applying darker eye shadow around his eye. This worked really well as it wasn't too dark that it didn't look realistic and it wasn't too light that it didn't show up on the camera. I also felt that it made Nick look scarier then he did without it and it made him look more like a villain.

Make-up I used For Nick

This is the make-up pack that I used for Nick's eye make-up. I used the second colour in from the left as I thought that the first colour on the left was to dark and the middle colour onwards were all too light. I am happy with the colour that I chose because I felt that it was the right one to make it look the most realistic and to make Nick look more like a villain.

Film Consent Forms Completed

                       Film Consent Forms Completed

I asked my actor and actress to sign the consent form so that I knew that they completely understood what they had to do and where the opening was going to go. I also asked them if they had any questions that they could come and ask me. Although, no one came to me with any questions on what they had to, only Nick asked me about what type of hat he needed to wear.

These are the completed forms.

Weather Forecast

                                     Weather Forecast

I decided to see what the weather forecast was for the days of my filming were in advance, so that if it was going to rain I could be prepared or I could set another day if I needed to. Luckily, on the days that I knew my actor and actresses were free, the weather was good enough to film.

29th of November

This is what the weather is supposed to be like on the 29th of November, the first day that I am supposed to be filming with just Jodie. The time frame that I am filming for is supposed to be cloudy, which would be good because it means that it should be a bit darker than usual at this time. This would mean that the lighting would be fit better for a horror movie then a sunny day.

7th of December

This is what the weather is supposed to be like on the 7th of December, the second day that I am supposed to be filming with both Jodie and Nick. This time frame that I am filming for is supposed to be misty. This will be good because it means it will be darker than usual, meaning it should be sort of the same lighting as the 29th of November.
